McBee’s General Store is a locally owned meat business located in Bates County, Missouri. Leslie and Bill McBee have been the sole proprietors of the operation since it opened in 2005. Bill McBee started his career in the meat industry at the age of 16 working in the meat department of his local grocery store, gradually building his knowledge and love for the trade. Now, 44 years later, he lives out his dream of running his own successful meat business in two separate locations.

Our team smokes Baby Back and Spare ribs Thursday through Sunday. We season them with our Bill's Special Rub. They are first come first serve, so call ahead to reserve a slab on a given day!
